My husband and I are 25 and have two young kids. We want to live in a safe area, not too much traffic, yet not too far away from everything.

i live in scottsdale and just love it. (it is more pricier to live here though, if money isn't a factor)

it is just gorgeous up here, and i would call it one of the safest cities.

my brother lives in gilbert (also very nice) and my other brother lives in phoenix (not too crazy about)

i had an aunt who lived in mesa for a while, she really liked living there and thought you could buy more house for the money.

there's lots to do here, especially for the kids, just be prepared for the heat!

attempt for Scottsdale. faculties: something in the paradise valley college district is really good. they have faculties in both phoenix and scottsdale, so in case you could get a house excellent on that border you'll have the great thing about an outstanding community and a more least expensive homestead value. some parts of maricopa county are really slummy so beware. the further you get from scottsdale, the more beneficial of available you're taking. even if, the closer you stay to scottsdale, the more beneficial severe priced it truly is. scottsdale has its own united statesand down. the individuals in this article are plastic, even if it certain isn't a ghetto. the position i stay, you could rigidity 3 miles and observe the most impoverished area, or you could rigidity 3 miles in the option route and discover homes that promote for on the point of 2mil. it truly is loopy.

Depending on your financial situation, check out Scottsdale (more expensive) or the North valley in general. Moon Valley, Paradise Valley, etc. A cheaper and more centralized place than either of theses is near Camelback and I-17. There are some nice neighborhoods back around there that can be affordable if you look in the right places.

I've lived in Arizona for 20 years, and I find that Scottsdale is great! It is probably more expensive than other suburbs, bit it's the nicest as well. There is also a great deal of growth in the "south east valley", Gilbert, Chandler, and Queen Creek. Good schools, communities, shopping, etc. Few freeways though, but soon.

Scottsdale is nice, but I would not recommend moving to Phoenix. It's becoming a mini Los Angeles. Smog is horrible(on par w/LA, Riverside, San Bernardino), crime is very bad throughout Tempe,Mesa, and Phoenix. There are a growing number of gangs, and illegal immigrants are everywhere. School's are horrible unless you are in the north east valley. I would almost suggest southern california cuz im from there but not Phoenix!! its a decent place though!

well if you are trying to get away from traffic do not move to phoenix! I have lived here awhile and the traffic is getting crazy and dangereous and the smog is horrible. If you are moving here I would recommend Tempe. It has a great downtown area and parks. Good Luck!

Check out Peoria or Surprise. They are both in the west valley and still close to the city. (20-30 min. highway) Peoria is right by the new Cardinals stadium which will be done this coming up football season. It is technically in Glendale, right by the Glendale arena where the Coyotes play and they have lots of concerts. It is growing like crazy out here, new businesses and houses going up all over.
